Suicide Awareness Programming
In collaboration with Counseling and Psychological Services and the California Girl Scholarship Endowment in Memory of Brittney Kittrell, PEP has launched a new effort to provide suicide awareness and prevention programming to the Mason study body. Examples of programming offered include:
Mason Cares for Students: Provides students with information about the prevalence of suicide, suicide facts and myths, and how to talk with a friend about this issue.
Kiosks: Information is provided related to current suicide awareness and prevention programming.
Suicide Awareness Forum: Provides an opportunity for Mason students to talk about suicide and mental health and how they as students can become more involved in decreasing the stigma and increasing awareness related to suicide prevention and mental health issues on college campuses.
